RemoVia Direct is an iPhone app that controls Samsung and Roku TVs over your home Wi-Fi. The phone talks straight to the TV — no computer in the middle, no cloud, no account. Nothing leaves your home network.
Back to AssetsYour iPhone and your TV sit on the same home Wi-Fi. RemoVia Direct sends each button press from the phone directly to the TV — volume, channel, power, navigation, and text entry where the TV supports it.
There is no bridge program to install on a computer, no account to create, and no cloud service in the path. Commands never leave your home network.
RemoVia Direct works at home, on your own Wi-Fi. Control away from home is not offered.
Pairing means the TV agrees to listen to your phone. It happens once per TV and is approved on the TV screen itself.
Safety: pairing prompts appear on the TV itself. Press Allow only for a prompt you just started.
RemoVia began as a web page that controlled TVs through a small bridge program running on a home computer, with an optional private link for use away from home.
That bridge was discontinued on October 29, 2026. The web remote page no longer controls any TV, and away-from-home control is not offered. RemoVia Direct — the iPhone app — is the only RemoVia now.
If you set up the bridge on your computer, you can simply stop running it and delete it. Your TVs are not affected.
RemoVia Direct is in private pilot. It is not in the App Store, and there is no public download.
